The primary duty of the Flight Follower is to be the point of contact for crew and clients during all active flights. The Flight Follower must be aware of the details of all active flights and must actively monitor the location and status of each aircraft. The Flight Follower must have a strong knowledge of aircraft scheduling parameters, including (but not limited to) aircraft limitations, time zone changes, crew duty and rest limitations, weather restrictions, overflight and landing permit requirements, airport curfews, over-flight exemptions, slot requirements, US Customs requirements such as general declarations, APIS submissions and more. Flight Followers are responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and professional communications with clients, crew, maintenance, sales, and others as needed.

Salary: $19.00/hr

This position is Sunday-Wednesday, 10:30am – 8:30pm
Ensure supervision of aircraft movements including initiation, en route monitoring, diversions, and post flight recordkeeping.
Communicate with both crew members throughout active flights regarding all aircraft movement and other pertinent details.  Timely and professional communication is required.
Send timely flight following information to clients that convey GrandView Aviation’s dedication to exceptional service.
Identify, anticipate and take corrective action to minimize actual/potential delays due to scheduling operations, crew legality and maintenance issues. Communicate all potential and actual issues to all necessary parties.
Advise appropriate parties of potential/actual delays and conditions affecting safety of flight.
Keep crewmembers abreast of any potential changes that may affect their existing or pending duty assignments.
Responsible for communicating with the appropriate supervisor/manager/director on all activities within the OCC, including irregular operations.
Coordinate with immediate Supervisor, Manager or Director of Maintenance for aircraft assignment changes.
Coordinate with crew members to ensure that duty assignments are understood to include show times and locations, as necessary.
Have a strong understanding of the flight crew schedule, including but not limited to crew pairing requirements, crew position assignments and crew training requirements.
Plan, assign and adjust crew duty assignments per regulatory and company requirements.
Inform immediate Supervisor, Manager, Director of Operations or Chief Pilot of pending crew problems and ensure that all possible remedies are pursued as quickly as possible.
Keep crewmembers abreast of any potential changes that may affect their existing or pending duty assignments.
Conduct TSA Clearance with the No-Fly List, Selectee and Cleared List.
Accurately enter and verify flight logs and expense reports as soon as a trip has been completed. Send these reports to appropriate parties within the company, as instructed.
Accurately enter crew rest, crew duty and crew schedule into the company’s scheduling software and disseminate this information as instructed.
Verify and produce accurate monthly rest and duty reports for all pilots.
Answer inbound calls and assist when possible or direct to proper party.
Provide exceptional and professional customer service in every interaction via phone, email, text and in person.
Performs other duties as assigned.
